Do you want to make a contribution to the financial lines insurance industry?

An opportunity awaits with APIG NSW!

Are you a financial lines insurance professional who would like to be part of the NSW APIG Committee? Now is your chance!

We are holding elections for the 2019/2020 NSW Committee at our AGM to be  held on Wednesday 16 October 2019 and we are welcoming nominations from the industry. Refer to our formal Notice of Annual General Meeting attached.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience on an industry body, expand your professional network and get involved in organising the various APIG events held throughout the year. In return, you will be expected to attend monthly meetings and assist in organising several educational seminars and/or social functions throughout the year. Most of all, we want you to be passionate and enthusiastic about APIG!

We have always had four categories of participants on the Committee but this year we have redesigned these to now be: -

·         Brokers

·         Underwriters

·         Lawyers

·         Miscellaneous

The miscellaneous category is new and is open to anyone who is a financial lines insurance professional but just doesn’t happen to be a broker, underwriter or lawyer – you might be working in claims, reinsurance, loss adjusting, business development – anything at all, as long as it is related to financial lines insurance.

Each category has a limited number of spots available to ensure the Committee is made up of a varied spread of professions, however, the Executive Committee has discretion to allow more participants from a certain category in the case of over-subscription.

You must also be an APIG member to join the Committee – whether by way of individual membership or corporate membership through your employer.

If you would like to apply please complete the attached nomination form. You can also gather as many proxy votes as you like, to exercise votes in your favour, by having the attached proxy form completed by an APIG member.

Please then email your form(s) to the address noted in the attached notice by the due date.

The election result will be announced at our AGM which you are welcome to attend. The details of our AGM are as follows: -
