Following a series of very high profile data breaches in Australia over the past 8 months, the Federal Government couldn’t have timed their proposed changes to the Privacy Act (https://www.ag.gov.au/sites/default/files/2023-02/report-on-a-page.pdf) any better.

With a clear shift to holding entities accountable for how they acquire, process, store and dispose of personal information, this seminar will look at some of the practical elements of the recommendations as well as potential implications to the local insurance market should entities fall foul of the changes.

Please join us as we discuss the changes with:

 -  Eden Winokur - Partner & Head of Cyber from Hall & Wilcox

 -   Robyn Adcock - Cyber & Technology Practice Leader, Professional & Financial Risks from Gallaghers, providing a broker’s view

 -   Colin Pausey - Chief Operating Officer from Emergence, providing an insurer’s view

The discussion will be facilitated by Persia Navidi – Partner for Cyber Risk from Hicksons Lawyers

A light lunch will be provided.
